Students gathered for "Study Abroad Talking Circle"

On December 2, 2024, the “Study Abroad Talking Circle” was held in Professor Nakagawa’s seminar class. Currently, two students from the Department of Global Management are studying abroad at Vilnius University and Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania, which are two of our overseas partner institutions. The students connected online to share their study abroad experiences in Lithuania with those interested in pursuing similar opportunities.
Participating students asked questions about experiences that changed their perspectives, challenges faced due to a lack of fluency in Lithuanian, the weather in Lithuania, and the cost of living and entertainment compared to Japan. The two students kindly and enthusiastically answered their questions while sharing photos of local sites and their everyday lives with friends.

Since their departure for Lithuania about four months ago, the students have encountered some difficulties. However, one student expressed, “Studying abroad broadens my perspective on life. Overcoming hardships helps you grow as a person.” Another student encouraged those interested in studying abroad, stating, “If you take action, there are exciting opportunities waiting for you, and you will encounter new experiences. Don’t be discouraged, even when things get tough.”
