Overseas Program reports

United States of America

Study abroad location Columbia, Missouri (University of Missouri, Columbia)

I believe that the great experience I had at the city council in the US will be a starting point for my future. Taishin Kadowaki, 3rd year, Department of Global Management Studies
I learned about Japanese government in the Public Management Course before traveling to the U.S. At the Columbia City Council, individual citizens exercised their rights by freely sharing their views. Unlike Japan—where things proceed according to determined scenarios—this system involves citizens and works to solve social issues, which made me think about what government really is.
